Our future: Nuclear war?

What kind of Democratic candidates do we have? Obama says he’d attack Pakistan and Hilary says she’d consider using nuclear weapons. I yearn for the days when war was considered a last resort and presidents worked towards peace. Obviously neither candidate has any idea what the region is like.
