"بازداشت و رفتاری که با همسرم و خانواده‌ی ما می شود نشان می‌دهد همه‌ی آن انتقاداتی که همسرم در رابطه با موکلین خود در رسانه مطرح می‌کرد چقدر منصفانه و دقیق بوده است. انتقاداتی که صدور 26 سال حکم قضایی را در پی داشته است." شهرزادنیوز:نسرین ستوده، وکیل زندانی، از روز چهارشنبه دست به اعتصاب غذا زده است. از آنجا که نسرین در ماه‌های اخیر بسیار ضعیف و لاغر شده بود و در وضعیت جسمی مساعدی قرار نداشت، طبیعی است که اعتصاب غذای وی نگرانی نسبت به تندرستی نسرین را شدت بخشد. شهرزادنیوز در رابطه با اعتصاب غذای نسرین و نگرانی خانواده با رضا خندان، همسر نسرین ستوده، به گفتگو نشسته است. از روز چهارشنبه خانم ستوده دست به اعتصاب غذا زده است. دلایل اصلی این اعتصاب غذا چه بوده و تا حال دست اندرکاران چقدر به خواسته‌های وی رسیدگی کرده اند؟ - دلایل اعتصاب غذای ایشان 1 - تضییع ابتدایی ترین حقوق یک زندانی و 2 - فشار قضایی بر اعضای خانواده است. جلوگیری از ملاقات حضوری با اعضای خانواده به ویژه کودکان و جلوگیری از تماس تلفنی با خانواده، تغییر روز ملاقات ایشان به نوعی که دختر ما به دلیل شرایط تحصیلی امکان حضور در آن روز جهت ملاقات را ندارد.فشار از طریق پرونده سازی قضایی و احضار و تهدیدات قضایی اعضای خانواده که اخیرا دامنگیر دختر 12 ساله‌مان هم شده است به نوعی که اخیرا قرار ممنوع‌الخروجی برای او و من صادر شده است. متعاقب این قرار به صورت تلفنی به شعبه 28 دادگاه انقلاب احضار شده‌ایم. آیا اعتصاب غذای ایشان زمان محدودی دارد یا خانم ستوده هیچ محدودیتی برای زمان اعتصاب خود اعلام نکرده است؟ - هیچ سقف زمانی برای اعتصاب غدا اعلام نکرده است. خود شما چقدر نگران سلامتی نسرین هستید؟ به ویژه که پیش از این اعتصاب هم نگران سلامتی وی بودید؟ - خیلی بیش از گذشته که چندین بار اعتصاب غذا کرده بود نگرانش هستیم؛ به دلیل این که در دوره‌های قبل تازه بازداشت شده بود و از نظر جسمی شرایط بهتری داشت، در حالی که الان در بدترین وضع جسمی خود قرار دارد و ما همینجوری و بدون اعتصاب غذا هم خیلی نگران وضع جسمی اش بودیم. و من همینجا تک تک مسولین زندان، دادسرا، دادستانی و در راس همه‌ی آنها شخص رئیس قوه‌ی قضاییه را مسئول سلامتی ایشان اعلام می‌کنم. واکنش فرزندان چیست؟ آنها به اعتصاب غذای مادرشان چگونه نگاه می کنند؟ - پسرم به دلیل سن‌اش خیلی در جریان اعتصاب غذای مادرش نیست، ولی دخترم خیلی نگران سلامتی مادرش است. فکر می کنید که اعتصاب غذای نسرین بخشی از خواسته‌های وی را برآورده سازد؟ - شاید به خواسته‌ها یا بخشی از آنها توجه کنند و یا ترتیب اثری ندهند. اعتصاب زندانی یک معامله نیست، اعتصاب واکنشی است از طرف زندانی که زیر فشار است. مانند فریاد زدن کسی که زیر ضرب است. و احساس می‌کند فریاد کشیدن لااقل به لحاظ روحی او را آرام می‌کند. رضا خندان در پایان گفتگو اشاره می‌کند: - بازداشت و رفتاری که با همسرم و خانواده‌ی ما می شود نشان می‌دهد همه‌ی آن انتقاداتی که همسرم در رابطه با موکلین خود در رسانه مطرح می‌کرد چقدر منصفانه و دقیق بوده است. انتقاداتی که صدور 26 سال حکم قضایی را در پی داشته است.

Stepping into the role of the President of the United States, I ordered an all-out strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, that escalated into a ground invasion and a costly U.S. occupation of Iran. This week, I’m going to experiment with a limited strike, in the hopes that I can stop the Iranian Bomb without triggering a massive war.

Amnesty International: Will Bahrain crack down on protesters tomorrow?

	Stand up for the right to peaceful protest without the threat of violence.
	Dear Farhad, Tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary of the start of protests in Bahrain. Tens of thousands are expected to take to the streets to protest a government that has committed terrible violence against its own citizens. When Bahrain's streets awaken in protest tomorrow, will government forces crack down on peaceful demonstrators again? Will there be more tear gas, torture, killings? We don't know what will happen tomorrow. But we do know that tragedy is not inevitable. Take action for a better tomorrow in Bahrain. Call on the Bahraini government and security forces to respect peaceful protest and assembly -- today, tomorrow, and for all the days to come. As protests enter their second year, the Middle East and North Africa remain in turmoil. As I wrote you over the weekend, the crisis in Syria is escalating. Civil society is under attack in Egypt. We can't let violence against peaceful protesters rekindle anew in Bahrain. If the Bahraini government keeps its promises -- to end torture and excessive force, to release peaceful protesters from prison, and to hold those responsible for abuses accountable -- it should have nothing to fear from nonviolent protests demanding political reforms. Under pressure, Bahrain's government has taken some positive steps forward -- but human rights violations continue in the country. Scores of people sentenced to prison terms for exercising their rights to freedom of expression and assembly during last year's protests are still facing criminal charges. Two of those prisoners, leaders of the Bahrain Teachers' Association, face a critical hearing this coming weekend that could grant them their freedom -- or keep them jailed for years. The situation in Bahrain is dire, but it is not hopeless -- and we can have tremendous influence. Bahrain takes its international image seriously. And since Bahrain is a country with such close ties to the U.S., the Bahraini government is uniquely susceptible to pressure from the U.S. government and U.S.-based activists. Your action today could mean peace in Bahrain tomorrow. Tell the Bahraini government that you are watching closely -- and that when tomorrow comes, you expect them to do the right thing for human rights.
