Ex-Mossad chief Says Ahmadinejad is "greatest gift" to Jewish state

I have been saying this for years.
I will not be surprised to hear that he like the late Afghanistan leader Hafizollah Amin who paved the way for Russians invasion of Afghanistan, being on the payroll of the CIA or the British intelligence.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the "greatest gift" Israel could hope for because he galvanizes world opinion against Iran, the former head of Israel's Mossad spy agency said.

"Ahmadinejad is our greatest gift," Israel's Haaretz newspaper quoted ex-Mossad chief Ephraim Halevy as telling the U.S.-sponsored Al-Hurra Arabic satellite channel on Tuesday.

"He only serves us. We couldn't carry out a better operation at the Mossad than to put a guy like Ahmadinejad in power in Iran," he said. "He unites the entire world against Iran."

Referring to Ahmadinejad's repeated predictions of Israel's demise and questioning of the Nazi Holocaust, Halevy said the Iranian leader "proved to everyone that the Iran of today is an Iran that is impossible to live with."

Israel, the region's sole if undeclared nuclear power, regards Iran as its main strategic threat because of the country's accelerating nuclear enrichment programme.

Both Israel and the United States have sought to rally the world behind stronger sanctions against Iran in a bid to convince it to suspend uranium enrichment, which can be used to make a nuclear weapon.

But Iran says it will continue enrichment despite three rounds of U.N. sanctions, insisting its nuclear programme is entirely peaceful and aimed solely at generating electricity.
